Tripod:  Manfrotto 055CXPRO3  with a BH40 Really Right Stuff Ball Head.  – Not the most expensive tripod, but this guy has been incredibly durable for me.  I’ve beat the crap out of this thing over the years.  I generally tend to use it as a walking staff when scrambling over boulders down along the coast or on mountain trails.  Going on 5 years or so with this and I’ve only had to replace one bushing and two rubber stoppers.  I also prefer the clip release rather than the screw type as it is definitely faster and easier on the wrist.

Travel Tripod: Feisol CT-3442 – This thing is incredibly light, very sturdy and sets up quickly.  Not the best tripod to use in sandy situations, i.e. desert or ocean as sand gets into those threads in the legs and does not come out easily.

Travel Tripod:  Benro Travel Angel C1691T  with a small BH 30 Really Right Stuff Ball Head
